Race Day Three: A Jibe, a first finish, and Lederhosen

June 26th 2025

Day five of the Regatta dawned with a competitive edge, and Greg was ready. He skillfully maneuvered *Chasing Destiny*, feeling the anticipation build as they approached the starting line. Today felt different; a sense of determination filled the air. They were on the tail of another catamaran, a sleek charter boat that, unlike their “fat and heavy” *Chasing Destiny*, was built for speed.

They were hot on her trail, truly giving it their all, when the wind suddenly, and dramatically, knocked the air right out of their sails during a jibe. It was a momentary setback, a frustrating gust that stalled their momentum. But Greg and Brandy weren’t deterred. They pressed on, their smiles unwavering, because today was destined to be their day. Today, they would cross the finish line for the first time! To celebrate this anticipated victory, even before it happened, they donned some festive costumes.

The celebration that evening was at Colors on Marsh Harbour, and Greg and Brandy arrived in style. Greg, proudly sporting his lederhosen, and Brandy, charming in her beer maid’s dress, made quite the entrance. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter and the clinking of glasses.

They quickly made new friends, sharing stories and reveling in the camaraderie of the Regatta. A highlight of the evening was meeting Uncle Eddy, who captivated them with his truly amazing card tricks. It was a night of joy, connection, and well-deserved celebration for the *Chasing Destiny* crew, marking their first official finish line crossing with flair and fun.
